The DR!

Well, I am back from my trip from the DR. It was awesome and totally relaxing. I'll tell you, though, I learned after 6 days by myself the value of community and the hazards of isolation. I slept, ate, layed out, read, vegged, and one day I went 4-wheeling. Overall, I would do it again. Prince theme song: Purple Rain...cause it rained every day for about half hour and was very humid down there. Pics to follow:

Yay! My vacation has started.

The pool! yes!

The beach! duh!

It had rained just as we got there. We were a mess. :-)

The Cheesecake Factory

Well, I experienced my second Summer of Jenn activity. We are up and running. I went to the Cheesecake Factory with my Grandma and Grandpa Kuhn (my mom's parents) and my Aunt Donna (my mom's sister). It was a blast then we walked around the harbor for a short while. My grandma and grandpa are awesome. I love em'. My grandma is an extreme version of my mom...and my mom is an extreme version of me. The OCD, type-A lessens with each generation it's an interesting phenomina. My grandma still works and is in her 80's...she is a very hard worker. She knows her self well and has a wonderful sense of humor! My grandpa is a simple, old fashioned guy. He, too, is a hard worker, he likes his water without lemon, enjoys a good piece of meat and believes computers are what is ruining the world. How awesome is that. Hee Hee. My Aunt is probably more sarcastic and funny than my mom, my grandmother and I put together. Gotta love that! :-) She's getting married soon and hanging with her is always fun. In honor of my grandpa's view of the world today and our current generation, I decided today's Prince theme song will be "Sign of the Times". As will be the case with every Summer of Jenn activity, pictures to follow:

Yeah! (As my friend Eryn would say!)
Geeeeettt iiiitttt!!!

The Grilled Shrimp and Bacon Club sandwich! Soooooooooo yummy! My favorite sandwich ever! I get it every time I go to TCF. It also happens to be Oprah and Chris Rock's favorite meal....it was on one of her shows.

April 9th -- Day in DC with Jackie

First summer of Jenn activity...we visited the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, the Natural History Museum, the Freer + Sackler Museum of Art and then we tried to look at the cherry blossoms but they had turned green already. We drove to Greenbelt and took the subway in..it was a blast and we got a lot of walkin' in. Prince theme song of the day..."Kiss". Jackie called that one cause she remembered it was in the infamous movie "Pretty Woman" Here are some pics from our day:
